Ectoin – An amino acid derivative (extremolyte) produced by microorganisms that live in extreme habitats like salt lakes, hot springs, arctic ice, the deep sea or deserts. Extremolytes are very powerful stress protection molecules that have been shown to have a similar effect in human skin. Ectoin has been shown to protect skin from cell damage and inflammation when exposed to environmental factors, and can repair and improve the condition of aged, stressed and irritated skin.

Niacinamide – Anti-aging multitasker that acts as a powerful antioxidant, boosts ceramide production and stimulates barrier repair. Niacinamide also has been shown to reduce skin pigmentation and evens out skin tone.
